The video lessons have been filmed and edited by professional photographers and videographers who have 10+ years of experience filming food. Expect 25 minutes of footage per module.
Most garden coaches charge $50 per site visit or phone call minimum. Get all your gardening questions answered directly through our live Q&As. There will be six garden chats throughout the course.
Each course contains downloadable growing guides that include seed selection, garden design templates, spacing guidelines, germination guidelines, planting calendar, care guides, and pest identification.
The Direct Seed Fall Garden course includes 8 modules with 3 or more lessons per module. There is over an hour of video footage on planting, harvesting, and everything in-between. You will also be able to download a Fall Grow Guide that includes a garden design map, specially selected seed recommendations, and a calendar.
The Summer Course includes 8 modules with 5 video lessons that range from 3 to 6 minutes. That's 200 minutes of direct gardening guidance filmed and edited by the professionals at Foodist Films. Lessons range from garden prep, seeding and planting tips, and plant care and maintenance. It also includes 6 garden chats, which occur bi-weekly with my direct responses to your questions. Finally, there are several downloadables including equipment & tool recommendations, seed recommendations, garden maps and templates, and growing guides.
Our courses are for beginning or intermediate gardeners. Beginning topics include direct seeding, transplanting, plant spacing, pruning, trellising and harvesting. Intermediate topics include seed selection for your environment, pest management, and companion planting. I provide garden templates that beginning gardeners can copy. I also provide the information an intermediate gardener should know when trying to come up with their original designs. If you have never done succession planting before, these are the lessons for you!
The Spring Garden course is appropriate for people who are growing in zones 4, 5, or 6. Other zones may find the information helpful as instruction builds an individuals knowledge on when to plant specific seeds. For example, I use soil temperatures as well as planting dates to help determine when to plant. Our summer and fall course is appropriate for people in all grow zones. Just be sure to check your own soil temps and frost-free dates. Again, I educate you how to do this.
Real-time means that the course has been filmed in a way that shows the natural progress of the garden. What I am filming and recommending is what is actually happening in the garden. This means I provide curriculum that is relevant to your garden.
The Spring Course includes 5 modules with 5 video lessons that range from 3 to 6 minutes. That's 125 minutes of direct gardening guidance. Lessons range from garden prep, seeding and planting tips, and plant care and maintenance. It also includes 4 garden chats, which occur bi-weekly with my direct responses to your questions. Finally, there are several downloadables including equipment & tool recommendations, seed recommendations, garden maps and templates, and growing guides.
